Okay, so I have been on a HUGE BB, CC and DD Cream trip! I literally own over 30 of them and have reviewed the best and worst of them, but I have been very excited with CC Creams, and to be honest, I’ve really wondered if some brands were just abusing it as a huge marketing scam to make extra money or if they were really great! I was really surprised to find out that the term CC Cream was actually created by Chanel since they were the first to do the CC Cream and named it CC Cream because of Coco Chanel, but other brands decided to take the idea and create something called CC or Complexion Corrector (Personally, I cannot WAIT for the Chanel CC Cream to launch, especially since they are amazing for skincare and makeup)!
As thrilled as I may have been to finally try my first CC Cream, the Clinique CC Cream was sooo bad for me! It blended okay, that wasn’t the issue, and it did have a decent amount of coverage. The issue that really just was a complete deal breaker for me was the pigment tone. Their BB Cream was already a bit pink, but their CC Cream is soooo pink in tone, it actually makes me look gray when I wear it, which means that most people in the world who have olive skin tones, will find the color a little unflattering!
I know it is to launch later on this year in Dubai, but personally, I just feel the BB Cream was better, although it definitely was not my top pick! (Click here to read about my favorite BB Cream, or read the full review of BB Creams)
